Mary Gizzie-Voigt

Mary GizzieMy goal is to increase both the confidence and English fluency of speakers, while pointing out how messages may be received differently when heard by people of another culture, such as by an American audience. Everyone has the same challenge, presenting themselves and their products in English. So let me assist you in not only to reducing the stress of communicating in English but also helping you to be more convincing and confident in your presentations.

In 2006 I took a great leap and emigrated from Philadelphia, USA to Jena, Germany. This change also gave me the push to alter my career as well. In America I graduated with a degree in business administration specializing in accounting from Rowan University in New Jersey, USA. I worked for many years as an auditor and tax consultant (CP A) advising clients in various fields such as banking, retail, manufacturing, medicine, charitable organizations and government.

Although I enjoyed working “with numbers”, I found that I would rather work “with people” and communication. So in 2007, I made the shift to business communications by joining the staff at Davidsons Sprachschule, Jena and began working with KMP, Stuttgart.  I became a business English trainer with a special focus on presentation.  Now I enjoy interacting with clients who speak the same language as me, business, but I help them to express themselves in English, the international language of business.
